CeRPIC – Research Project on International Politics and Conflicts Resolution

The Research Project on International Politics and Conflict resolution (CeRPIC) has as its aim the study of the changes in the international system, with particular reference to conflicts, the possibility of their solution and the prospects for global governance, in an interdependent world that sees the entry of emerging powers like China and India. The scientific activities of CeRPIC focus on the study of peace and war, as phenomena that are interdependent and critical for international politics. The research lines promoted address a survey on the use of force in international relations, its historical evolution and its transformation in the contemporary world, its connections with the political, social, economic, ethical and cultural dimensions, with the aim of identifying the causes and characteristics for a better understanding of recurring, even if extremely destructive, events. Our goal is also to identify the scientific basis to limit and possibly overcome such events
